Interview with Litzy Reynoso, author of Scars
YOU: How did your love of reading come about?
LITZY: “I think this started when I was very little, what introduced me to this were children’s stories. At home there was a book called ‘A Thousand and One Children’s Stories’, and as I began to immerse myself in these little stories, this taste for reading developed in me.
Over time it grew and escalated, they were no longer just children’s stories or fables, I began to read books that strengthened that love of reading.
Wattpad was one of the platforms that helped me find my taste in romance, I am a lover of romance, and I was able to find a lot of stories.”
YOU: How did you realize that you also wanted to write a book?
LITZY: “This is deeply rooted in my love of reading, whenever I sat down and read a book, it is entering a completely different world and you learn many things, that even if you are not experiencing them, it makes you want to do the same .
I have always believed that when you have a feeling or an emotion, paper and pen, you can start writing. I started with poems, with verses… until this need arose to want to tell a story, and see how far I can take it”.
YOU: Tell us about the story behind Scars, what inspired you to write this story.
LITZY: “Scars is a romance story, with hints of mystery and suspense. I think someone who loves romances had to write something about it.
It is a story of two adolescents who have gone through many things, at their young age they have experienced situations that they are solving during the development of the book.
Both are of very different temperaments. She is very calm and is always trying to help others, while he has a very hot temper, which gives the impression that he is always in a bad mood.
The encounters they have throughout the book is what develops their story, with some catastrophic moments, but fate ends up putting them in the same situation, until this mystery arises, with a secret to solve.”
YOU: How does it feel to have so many followers at such a young age?
LITZY: “It has been very exciting, I have always wanted to transmit the improvement in various aspects, or this way of facing certain situations that adolescents have.
I think that many times we feel trapped in different things, and we sit down to read in order to escape from those things.”
YOU: What do you want to convey with your stories?
LITZY: “Even though we want to forget certain things that we are going through, we can face them, we can overcome them, that is the biggest message that I want to convey, that we are adolescents who may be experiencing difficult situations, but we can always cope with them and survive with the right resources. and the right people.
Making them feel identified with the characters, and seeing how they are solving their conflicts, is something that excites me a lot”.
YOU: What’s next after Scars?
LITZY: “Currently I am already writing another story, also a romance with a mixture of suspense and many adolescent problems.
However, in Scars there are many characters who have their own story to tell, who have a lot to say and who aroused the curiosity of the readers, and I would like to develop their story, although not as a sequel to Scars.
I feel that there are second parts that ruin the first, and I don’t want that to happen with Scars, although I do want to explore the stories of the secondary characters, the mystery is very big.
