Gabriel Varela, son of the Cuban actress Gina Romand, announced the death of his mother this Saturday morning, after posting a message from his Twitter account in which he shared an emotional farewell message to his famous mother.
“With all my pain, I say goodbye to my mother, Gina Romand, who always illuminated my life, now she rests in peace illuminating the sky with her eternal brightness. I will always miss you and love you forever. Rest easy, my category blonde ”, was the message that her son wrote to make the news known.

Although so far no member of his family has referred to the causes of death, in some show programs in Mexico they have referred to pneumonia as the possible cause of his death.
On November 26, the actress’s son, Gabriel Varela, had asked for prayers for his mother once she had to be hospitalized.
“I know that her strength and desire to live will be able to move her forward. Her prayers and good wishes are appreciated”, wrote the theater director at that time. Days later she reported that her mother’s health had improved and that she had been transferred to intermediate therapy.
Since then, Varela did not refer to the subject again on his social networks until this Saturday, when he dedicated the emotional words to his mother through the Twitter message in which he announced his death.
The Cuban actress thus joins other celebrities who died in recent days in Mexico, such as Héctor Bonilla, Alonso Echánove and “Zamorita”.
