‘The Mandalorian’ comes to an end tomorrow and the actor Brendan Wayne has sighted that the final episode will “hurt.” It comes after the last one, ‘The Spies’, which showed Din Djarin being captured by Giedion in the ongoing fight for the Darksaber. The actor and stuntman has doubled for Din (Pedro Pascal) during the third season of the Star Wars spin-off and regularly shares behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram.
Wayne offered a new image of him on set in an Instagram story, where appeared with an exact copy of Din’s iconic costume and told his followers:
“This next episode will make you wish you hadn’t asked for another episode. It could hurt too much.”
And, as viewers continue to speculate about the end and the future of the series after the third season, executive producer Dave Filoni has also spoken about the episode with Collider, the showrunner shared that there are moments in the finale where fans will be happy and satisfied although he warns:
“The fans have a lot to take in. And I think, like any good ending, there’s a moment when you’re uplifted and satisfied. But then there’s a little more after. You start thinking about all the things that have happened. Maybe you start to put the pieces together in a different way. And you realize that it is an end. But there are other things going on out there in the galaxy that you now know more about.”
In another interview with Collider at Star Wars Celebration 2023, actor Giancarlo Esposito, also noted the importance of Moff Gideon in the ending and the future:
“Holy God! Yeah, I think it’s going to be quite a surprise to see what’s actually going on for a lot of the fans. My character is very democratic. He’s with the council trying to unite people. And so you see people trusting him and trying to figure out who this all-powerful leader is going to be. Right now, you have Moff Gideon who is in the middle of the mess. He has returned. He is back after being locked up for a short time. And he obviously he ran away. He has ideas on how to divide and conquer the galaxy.”
