Another controversy for ‘Masterchef’. The reality show presented by Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Jordi Cruz has been accused of having intoxicated more than 40 diners in one of the last broadcast programs of the season.
“I lost 5 kilos in three days”
On January 19, the ‘Masterchef’ team moved to the Oceanogràfic in Valencia to record part of the episode that finally aired on April 4. Irene, a center worker, participated along with other of her colleagues as a diner in the outdoor test.
As he has reported through his networks, more than half of the workers suffered from gastroenteritis after participating in the program:
Of 70 people, more than half ended up intoxicated. (…) The next night I had to go to the emergency room to have Primperan injected into my ass to stop vomiting. I lost 5 kilos in three days. My company informed ‘Masterchef’ of what happened. The following days we could not go to work. Public Health called us to investigate what happened but it came to nothing. They have not even had the decency to write to us to apologize. Thank you Masterchef for the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
For its part, the producer of the program has responded by remarking that They are very sorry about the incident and that it is an isolated caseof which the competent health authorities were informed and documented:
This is an absolutely exceptional case in these 11 years of ‘Masterchef’ in Spain, a program where it is an absolute priority to guarantee the food care of the people involved. Outside of Valencia, the food was analyzed at source with positive results and its traceability was guaranteed throughout the process.
