The wait is finally over and ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ can now be seen in cinemas in Spain. Although in Japan it has had a difficult time at the box office when measured with the overwhelming pace of ‘One Piece Film Red’, The new ‘Dragon Ball’ movie is being an international hit and had a spectacular premiere in the United States.
How could it be otherwise, and with the hype that we had dragging along in the summer, the Spanish public has also complied and has given ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ a welcome in style.
at the top of the box office
The end of August has been full of very interesting premieres and several big Hollywood productions like ‘Nop’ and ‘Bullet Train’. Even so, and despite the fact that it can only be seen in a little over 300 cinemas, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ has sneaked into the top of the Spanish box office.

As confirmed since Crunchyroll, the collection of the film during its first weekend in theaters has surpassed what ‘Dragon Ball Super: Broly’ did at the time. The anime film has worked wonderfully and has been very well received, so now it’s time to be aware of how it goes over the next few weeks and how it measures up with ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ in order to compare this year’s numbers.
Of course, despite surpassing Broly, who has not been able to overcome ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ is Tadeo Jones. The Spanish animated film has been the absolute jewel in the crown in terms of box office this weekend and not even Gohan, Goku and all the characters in the franchise have been able to beat ‘Tadeo Jones 3’.
As much as ‘Dragon Ball’ move masses, we must bear in mind that it is still an anime film and that ‘Tadeo Jones’ is a much more accessible franchise for the general public, in addition to the fact that children’s releases tend to dominate the box office rankings. So taking into account the billboard, it is not bad news at all, but it shows that ‘Dragon Ball’ continues to be more and more relevant.
