Steven Spielberg He has reaffirmed himself as a favorite for the Oscar in the category of best direction by winning the Golden Globe for his work in ‘The Fabelmans’. It is the fourth time that he has won this award, the first was also as a director for ‘Schindler’s List’, the second for the staging of ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and the third an award for his entire career.
‘The Fabelmans’ is a film with autobiographical touches that tells the story of a child during the late 50s and early 60s of the last century. One of the big themes is his relationship with cinema and how this helps him develop his own identity. In Spain the next Feb. 10.
Spielberg’s victory has meant that they are left without a prize James Cameron (‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’), Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (‘Everything at once everywhere’). Baz Luhrmann (‘Elvis’) and Martin McDonald (‘Inisherin’s Banshees’).
