With the film that reunited the versions of Spider-Man by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield with that of Tom Holland, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures scored a place among the 10 highest grossing films of all time.
Now with the expectation of a new trilogy co-produced by Sony and Marvel, the executive of the Japanese company, Tom Rothman, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter, in relation to the production of Spider-Man 4.
“You can bet… When you can expect it, I don’t know. Don’t serve wine before it’s time“said Rothman, who did not share more information about this tape.
What will happen in Spider-Man 4?
After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, no one (or almost no one) remembers that Peter Parker is the wall-crawler, so he is now a complete stranger in the eyes of MJ and Ned, his former closest friends.
Before the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Rothman himself announced that Spider-Man would have another MCU partner, as happened with Iron Man, Nick Fury and Doctor Strange.
“What I can say, and this is actually the scoop on this, is that the two companies (Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures) have a great working relationship. I think it’s a mutual hope that that will continue, but there’s really nothing definitive at this point.”.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is available on the HBO Max digital platform.
