Rapper Snoop Dogg has been a fervent advocate and champion of marijuana use for decades, something that leads by example and also with various initiatives, both commercial and protest, linked to the cannabis industry.
Apart from this background, it is surprising that, on one occasion, the hip hop star decided to auction off one of his own cigarettes to raise funds for a charity led by married couple Seth Rogen and Lauren Milleran entity conceived to promote research in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
The couple have granted an interview to Variety to delve into their solidarity work and describe the work supported by their foundation, called ‘Hilarity for Charity Initiative’. Obviously, the interpreters could not ignore one of the most curious anecdotes that their experience in this field has left them, which also leaves a musical artist in a very good place who, everything is said, has always stood out for the broad social conscience of the.
“Snoop Dogg once auctioned off one of his por*** on stage, for the fight against Alzheimer’s,” Seth revealed in his conversation with the magazine, to which Lauren added: “I think it ended up selling for $10,000.” In a somewhat more serious tone, the artist has reflected on the need to make citizens aware of these pressing causes through original and “effective” proposals.
“I think it represents very well how we approach this task. If you’re lucky enough to have Snoop Dogg come to your event to perform and auction off a personal item in support of Alzheimer’s research and fight, I think it speaks very well about how to deal effectively with such a varied set of issues and sensitivities”, said Seth Rogen. The artist and Lauren Miller created their organization in 2012 after the actress’s late mother was diagnosed with this disease.
