This series is inspired by the series of books published by Vertigo (today DC Black Label), authored by the writer Jeff Lemire.
After an intense first season, and with the tension of knowing what happens with Gus and his hybrid friends, Netflix shared the official trailer for the second season of Sweet Tooth.
As a new wave of the virus looms, Gus (Christian Convery) and his fellow hybrids fall into the hands of General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the last men.
Scheming to find a cure to consolidate his power, Abbot uses the children as guinea pigs for the experiments of Dr. Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who is also being held captive and is in a hurry to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani). ).
To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, embarking on a dark journey to his origins and the role his mother Bow Tie (Amy Seimetz) played in the events surrounding the Great Collapse.
A series that defies expectations
From executive producers Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr. comes Sweet Tooth, a post-apocalyptic fairy tale that follows the unique adventures of Gus, a half-deer, half-human boy and lonely wanderer in a devastated world.
The cast of this series will be made up of Christian Convery (Gus), Nonso Anozie (Tommy Jepperd), Adeel Akhtar (Dr. Aditya Singh), Aliza Vellani (Rani Singh), Stefania LaVie Owen (Oso), Dania Ramirez (Aimee Eden) , Neil Sandilands (General Abbot), with Will Forte (Father) and James Brolin (Narrator).
The first season of Sweet Tooth is now available on the world’s largest entertainment platform, and season 2 will premiere on April 27, 2023.
