Phase four of the MCU enters its final stretch with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a film that reaches theaters and of which we share our review and criticism
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a film that closes phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, finally arrives in theaters in Mexico and the World. This film became a well-deserved tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and the entrance through the front door of Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor, as we tell you in this review of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
It is true that the death of Chadwick Boseman was an event that changed the plans of Marvel Studios in phase four of the MCU, but Ryan Coogler managed to mourn the loss of Boseman, incorporating the funeral rites of Wakanda.
The African nation, with Queen Ramonda as head of state, remains in the public eye due to its refusal to trade in vibranium, which has caused the annoyance of powers such as the United States, who continue to explore the oceans in search of the powerful metal.
Even when they are close to success, supported by technology developed (and stolen) by the young prodigy Riri Williams, an unknown civilization appears on the stage, Talocan with its leader Namor, who proposes to Queen Ramonda and Shuri (who has taken their duel locked in her lab working) an alliance, unless there is bloodshed.
A series of unexpected events… and exciting
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stands out from being a movie with predictable events, since Namor is an antihero who justifies his reasons to protect his civilization, and agrees with T’Challa that isolation from the world is the best way to keep save his people.
With a vast ancient heritage, Talokan are a highly advanced people and their reserves of vibranuim may surpass Wakanda, with whom they seek to ally for protection, but the differences in approach between Shuri and Namor will unleash consequences that exact high bills.
With elements that evoke passages that we have read in Avengers vs X-Men, the action, intrigue and suspense grow as the film progresses, which presents us with a new order.
Namor: The new great figure of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
If someone steals the movie from the moment he emerged from the oceans, he is the first mutant in the history of the MCU, known by his rulers as Kukulkan, but his enemies know him as Namor, the boy who grew up without love.
To differentiate him from his version in the comics, in the MCU Namor governs a civilization that dates back to 1521, the year in which Spain began the conquest of Mesoamerican lands, which led them to retreat to the sea, to save the new generations.
Ryan Coogler scored a great success in the casting of Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, one of the antiheroes who founded Marvel Comics in 1939, and his first appearance on the big screen exceeded expectations.
SMASH Verdict ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ryan Coogler gives us a different way of grieving, while also leading us into an emotional and well-deserved tribute to Chadwick Boseman, and succeeded in showing us how Wakanda faces a future in the physical absence of its protector.
Namor’s entrance marks a major event within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Black Panther sequel gives due importance to the ruler of Talokan, who will have great deeds in the future of the MCU.
To finish off this review of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, this proposal has more emotional overtones than the first part and achieves a greater impact on audiences, who will be happy and eager to know what the future holds for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from the world powers that intervene after the death of King T’Challa.
As the people of Wakanda struggle to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must unite with the help of the Dogs of War, Nakia and Everett Ross, and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will feature the return of Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Lupita N’yongo and Angela Basset. Mexican Tenoch Huerta joins as Namor, the Submariner.
Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in the Mexican Republic on November 9, 2022.
