After a series of adjustments in the DC Comics release schedule, The Flash was scheduled to hit theaters on June 23, 2023, but Warner Bros. is confident in the performance of the tape, to the point of advancing a few days of its premiere.
According to Variety, The Flash will now have its theatrical release on June 16, 2023a week earlier than previously announced by the production.
Warner Bros. did not disclose the reasons why this adjustment in the schedule of
premieres have been made, but fans will appreciate being able to see the new adventure of the World’s Fastest Man on the big screen.
What will we see in The Flash?
This film will be inspired by Flashpoint, one of the core events of DC Comics in recent years, with which a reboot of the history of the DC Universe originated.
The Flash will feature Michael Keaton, who after 30 years will return to play Batman in the cinema, something that has not happened since Batman Returns. Keaton isn’t the only Dark Knight on screen, as Ben Affleck will also return as Batman.
Another return that is expected in this film is that of Michael Shannon, who will once again play the cruel General Zod, whom we last saw in 2013, within the plot of Man of Steel.
In addition, the film will see the debut of Supergirl, a role that will be played by actress Sasha Calle, who will play a version inspired by Cir-El, Superman’s daughter in the future, who goes back in time to prevent an attack.
With the script by Christina Hodson, The Flash will be directed by Argentine filmmaker Andrés Muschetti and will have Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen / Flash, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West.
The Flash will feature performances by Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, both as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The Flash will hit theaters on June 16, 2023.
