The publisher Penguin Random House has announced this Thursday that the already controversial autobiographical book of Prince Harry will arrive in bookstores around the world on January 10, in addition to revealing both the title and the cover of a work whose mere conception has raised blisters in British public opinion and within the royal family.
The volume will be called ‘Spare: In the shadow’ in its Spanish edition, while the cover features the Duke of Sussex staring at the camera, dressed in a simple brown shirt and a black necklace around his neck. Taking into account the statement that the company has issued to promote the product, it is clear that many of the chapters of the book will delve into the traumatic experience that the prince lived with the tragic death of his mother, Diana of Wales.in a traffic accident in the heart of Paris.
‘Spare’ will immediately transport readers to one of the most shocking images of the 20th century: two young princes walking behind their mother’s coffin, as the world watches in sorrow and horror. As Diana, Princess of Wales, is buried, millions of people are wondering what the princes must feel and think, and how their lives will evolve from that moment, “says an excerpt from the note.
The testimonies that Harry will offer, in the first person and with the frankness of his character, about the events that have marked his life will reflect his most personal, thoughtful and sentimental side. As had already been speculated, the grandson of the late Elizabeth II will not bite his tongue when sharing with the public his animosity towards the sensationalist press or his vision of the conflicts he has had, more recently, with his father, the king Charles IIIand his brother Guillermo, heir to the throne, on account of his hasty departure from the first line of monarchical representation, which dates back to March 2020.
“For Harry, this is finally his chance to tell his story. With his raw and unwavering honesty, ‘Spare’ is a publication that marks a before and after. It will be full of experiences, revelations and self-examination, as well as wisdom gained with the power of love and in the face of grief, ”says Penguin Random House about an explosive story that will surely shake the foundations of British royalty.
