‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ may not be going to break the record of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ as the highest-grossing film of 2022 —although, to have been released more than half a year later, the figures are very tight— , but there is a factor of the James Cameron film that has exposed the good Tom Cruise. That factor has a first and last name and is called Kate Winslet.

    Deeply

During the filming of ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’, Cruise could boast of having held his breath underwater for six minutes to shoot one of the most ambitious and spectacular set pieces in the feature film. Now, Winslet can boast of having broken the mark of the most reckless actor in Hollywood.

The interpreter, during an interview with USA Today, has boasted of her time in 7 minutes and 14 seconds without breathing and, with a humorous tone, he has pitied “Poor Tom”.

“Poor Tom. I don’t know Tom, I’ve never met him in my life, but I’m sure he’s getting sick of hearing the story of ‘how I broke his record. Oh yes, I loved it. I was surprised at how good it was. was and how I was improving”.

In the same interview, Sigourney Weaverpresent in both installments of ‘Avatar’, clarified that she was able to stay underwater with no other help than her lungs during six and a half minutes.

“We were very happy that Kate did that. My husband and I did six and a half minutes, which was amazing for us and our instructor, Kirk Krack, who teaches Navy SEALs.”
