From Filmin they are determined to give us a good binge of nostalgia in what they are recovering mythical series from decades ago. If, for example, a couple of months ago they recovered the great ‘Doctor in Alaska’, this week they appeal to the childhood and nostalgia of several generations of Spaniards and Europeans premiering ‘Pippi Longstocking’ on streaming.
It will be on Friday the 16th when the platform uploads the complete series with the adventures of Pippi Långstrump, composed of 13 episodes, in a remastered version. Along with the series we can also enjoy the two feature films, ‘Pippi on the island of Taka Tuka‘ and ‘Pippi has a great time‘. Of course, it seems that the films will arrive divided into episodes according to the German edition.

Based on the books by Astrid Lindgren, the series stars Pippi Långstrump, a girl orphaned by a mother and daughter of a pirate who lives alone in Villa Kunterbunt. Endowed with superhuman strength, she lives her little adventures together with Little Uncle, her horse and Mr. Nilsson, her marmoset.
Inger Nilsson played Pippilota leading a leading trio that was completed with, Maria Persson as Annika and Pär Sundberg as Tommy. ‘Pippi Longstocking’ had the script and direction by Olle Hellbom, assisted by Astrid Lindgren herself on the script.
The original series premiered in 1969 and it was not until 1974 that he arrived in Spain via Spanish Television. Since then and for decades she has enjoyed an intermittent broadcast in our country, becoming an icon for several generations of children with that portrait of a rebellious and free girl.
