From the city of Las Vegas, we covered all the rehearsalsThat’s how we witnessed ‘La Mujer de Fuego’ and at the end we talked to her.
Ready to premiere ‘La Vida Da Vueltas’ worldwide on Thursday at the awards, we interviewed Olga Tañón at the end of her essayand told us about his return to the awards, andl why he prefers the Latin AMAs to be on Univision and he even tells us what he will do on his new tour, which he hasn’t done in 14 years.
-Back to the awards and with ‘La Vida da Vueltas’, world premiere, how do you feel?
Olga Tanon: Very happy, grateful, I think that one of the issues, which has been around for a long time, after ‘La Gran Fiesta’, I was waiting for a theme like this. I think that the world needs to do a little more positive every dayAlthough we are never exempt from the negative things, but with this topic we are not achieving.
-How many turns did your life take?
Olga Tanon: Keep going around, I think life keeps spinning between the positive and the negativebut you have to absorb basically all the cool stuff, as much as possible.
-How do you cling, if you cling, to the positive, when life turns?
Olga Tanon: You have no options, the person whose option is to stay stuck, in what is negative, we are not doing well, and they have to seek help, but in life I have always moved forward, first by faith, and second because I know that many times, after something that is not so positive, comes the real positive… You basically have to mentalize yourself, I’m already a little old, you know.
-You have stepped on so many stages, been to so many awards, that you have been so awarded, what does this stage of the Latin American Music Awards mean?
Olga Tanon: I love the idea that they can be on Univision, I love it with everyone, with UniMás, with all of them, because they are tremendous awards, and it’s the first time I’ve been at a Latin American Music Awards. Super grateful for the opportunity, first that I have to present the new thing, which is ‘La Vida Da Vueltas’, and second for doing the little things that I am going to be doing, which are surprises, but happy because they deserved it, to be, in where are the best
-There is also a tour coming now.
Olga Tanon: It’s called ‘Symmetry’, I’m super happy, this time, for the first time in Puerto Rico, after 14 years. It is my island, and I was not in Puerto Rico, I had never performed alone at the Choliseo, I have always liked the Coliseo a lot because of the acoustics, it is the first time at the Choliseo, and I am very excited… The only thing I regret is that my My parents are no longer there, because they were always there in the front row, but they won’t be… It will be full of my songs from thirty-odd years ago when I started, what I’m doing now, and many surprises. I really like what they are, a lot of visuals, a lot of dancer and a lot, a lot of production, and a lot of throat.
-Why did they pose 14 years for you to present yourself again in Puerto Rico?
Olga Tanon: Because I think that one of the things that I have always done is try to internationalize, and for a long time I did not work, I was away for a while, and time ran out. It wasn’t that I hadn’t returned to Puerto Rico, to do other things, yes I did, but I hadn’t done such a big event after so long, and so we decided to do it, but in the meantime we were making international noise, which thank God, One of the most beautiful things that I give is to thank heaven, I am very lucky to be able to have an international career, which has always been highly supported, and to also be able to make a living in other places. I have always said, from such a small island, we go out a lot, but it is important to continue being grateful.
-You are going to walk the carpet in your new body version. How do you prepare, feeling very proud of everything you have achieved with effort?
Olga Tanon: It is going back to what I had before and I abandoned it, because I think it is a matter of my own responsibility, and I abandoned it. Believe it or not, I had those size 2 and 3 pants at home, and I never gave them away, thinking that I was going to go back to that size. The reality is that going back to this, whatever it was, with surgery or not, you have to continue to maintain a discipline, and I have once again had the discipline of running 5 km 3 times or four times a week, sometimes every day, but I am very happy, because I am, not that I have not been happy, but that I feel complete.
-And ready for the carpet in a super dress
Olga Tanon: More than prepared, how I’m going to look, I don’t know, but I’m going to walk with an outfit, you’ll see, because there are a lot of little girls, so a lot of little girls going there.
