With the rise of television series of “Star Wars” in streaming and projects for new movies, fans of Natalie Portman they wondered if it would be possible for her to act – even briefly – in another film in the saga. And the answer she gave them was unexpected.
In a video published for the magazine G.Q. the 41-year-old actress (who had one of the main characters in the trilogy directed by George Lucas in 1999, 2002 and 2005) answered many questions, including the one that says: Is there any chance that Padme/Natalie Portman will return to “Star Wars”? What she replied: “I have no information about this. No one has asked me to come back, but I am open to it.”
Natalie worked with the New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi on the tape of 2022 “Thor: Love and Thunder”; now he is in charge of directing a new film of “Star Wars”although in recent statements he was very clear in saying that he did not want characters from previous sagas to return to the plot. The actress recounted that Waititi asked her if she would like to appear in a film of that series, “and I told him: ‘I’ve already been there. At first I thought that he was joking, but then I saw in an interview that he was shaking with embarrassment.
