When a person emigrates to the United States after the longed-for “American dream”, especially when they do so illegally, it is common for many years to pass before they return to their hometown, there are even cases of people who do not like it. it is possible to return to the land where they were born.
In the case of those who, over the years, have the opportunity to return to their hometown, they are often surprised to find a completely different place from the one they remember, including the absence of people who died. Such is the case of a Mexican boy who moved the networks when he said that after 26 years of immigrating to the northern country, he returned to visit his grandparents, but they had already passed away.
The protagonist of the emotional viral video is Ángel Alcantar, a TikTok user identified under his profile @angel_alcant, an account in which, through three recordings, he recounted and evidenced with photographs and recordings the moment he returned from the United States and found himself with the unfortunate news of the death of his grandparents.
In the first viral clip under the text “After 26 years I was able to return to Mexico and visit my grandparents…” and with the theme A million springs of Vicente Fernández, you can see the interior of a house that seems abandoned, and then hear the man shout the names of his deceased ancestors waiting for them to come out to receive him, a call to which he receives no response, since, apparently, there no one lives anymore.

After showing his children the house that brought back so many memories and in which his grandparents lived, in response to one of his followers, Ángel published a third video of his visit to the pantheon, where, heartbroken, he hugged the tomb of his ancestors. and ended by sharing some images with the name of his relatives.

It was not the longed-for hug that I wanted. Visit them in their new home, a place you wouldn’t want to go. What I received was a cold hug, one of those that freezes your soul and heart. But I know that they take care of me from heaven.
Given the virality and the strong criticism he received in his video, since many judged him for not knowing about the death of his grandparents, Ángel shared other videos in which he explained that he did know that they had died, but that it was important for him to record those videos and exclaim their names as a memory of what he used to do when he lived in his hometown.
After explaining the context behind his viral videos, which he himself assured got out of control, Ángel Alcantar shared a clip in which he gave him some tips to people who, like him, have not traveled to their place of origin for years and want to know how he did it, but this time he deactivated the comments on the publication.
