The singer who interprets “Hung up” pointed out on Twitter that her appearance showed an aesthetic retouching, but she has ironized that the postoperative swelling has already gone down.
“Look how pretty I am now that the swelling from the surgery has gone down hahaha 😂,” Madonna posted on her Twitter account.
This was the first time that Madonna spoke openly about her much-mentioned aesthetic interventions. For which she responded to those who criticized her days after the gala, on February 8, through an Instagram post.
“I am, once again, caught in the hostile gaze of ageism and misogyny in the world we live in. A world that refuses to exalt women over 45 and feels the need to punish them if they are determined, They are hard-working and adventurous,” the singer began by saying, taking this moment to mention that she has been the target of humiliation since her career began.
“I have never apologized for any of the artistic choices I’ve made or my appearance or how I dress and I’m not going to start now,” he added. “I am happy to be a pioneer so that it will be easier for all the women behind me in the coming years,” the 64-year-old singer condemned.
“They won’t break her soul,” she quoted Beyoncé to make clear to fans that she won’t change her attitude and wished for “many more years of subversive behavior” and standing up to established systems and patriarchy.
