Last night’s guests at ‘El hormiguero’ were Fernando Tejero and José Manuel Poga. Tejero recalled last night how he was inspired by Chus Lampreave for his character and Poga made the presenter dizzy by telling him a lie about his partner.
“I made the film without seeing absolutely nothing”
Fernando Tejero and José Manuel Poga presented their new film last night at ‘El hormiguero’: ‘Strength’, directed by Chiqui Carabante, is a mystery black comedy about the heirs of a large mansion who must face a twisted game planned by the deceased to get hold of his inheritance. The movie opens in theaters June 23.
In the film, Tejero plays the accountant and explained that he was the one who proposed the looks of his character, although for doing so The whole movie will go by without being able to see anything.:
When I read the character, I saw him as someone dark, stuck in a time. And I said, “We’re going to pay homage to Chus Lampreave in ‘What have I done to deserve this?’ and we’re going to put some glass-bottom glasses on him”. Great idea, because I made the movie without seeing anything at all.
At one point, Pablo Motos he asked Tejero about his recurring dream with “dead chicks in the bed”, leaving the actor in checkered. Finally, Poga began to laugh and Motos understood that he had been wrong: “I have even sweated. It will be a bastard” Tejero laughed. Poga confessed that he had deceived the presenter by giving him false informationsince it was he who had that dream:
I was waiting to see what would happen. No, that happens to me. I have an animosity to dead birds. I have a recurring nightmare: I dream that there are a bunch of dead birds under my bed.
