Beyond the final products that end up reaching our movie theaters and televisions, one of the great incentives to follow the day-to-day life of the film industry is none other than, plain and simple, enjoy the most colorful gossip. Although, as with everything, you have to do it with a magnifying glass, since all that glitters is not gold.
One of the most widespread rumors in recent years is carried out by Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow, who shared a set in Jon Favreau’s ‘Iron Man 2’ and who, according to what has been said, did not have a very friendly relationship. But now, both actresses have denied it in the latest episode of ‘The Goop Podcast’.

At one point in the program, Paltrow brought up the controversy: “People ask me, ‘Is it true that you and Scarlett Johansson didn’t get along on Iron Man?'”. Johansson could not help but to be surprised and thankful for the good treatment she received from her co-star in the production of the Marvel Universe.
“Has it been rumored? “You were very nice to me in that movie. She was petrified. You were very good to me! You could have been awful. I was way out of my comfort zone in that movie. I had never done anything like this before. In addition, you had established very deep friendships.
Paltrow sided with ScarJo’s opinion, and celebrated having the support of another woman on the set.
“It was fun to be in something that resonated so deeply with people in cultural terms. I had never been in that kind of franchised blockbuster either. It was something new for me. But then you joined and made all these giant movies. I was very happy to have another woman there.”
Johansson stopped for a moment to underline Paltrow’s words about the presence of women, and did not hesitate to classify some MCU titles as “sausage parties”.
“You told me over and over again. Then I lived it myself. When I did ‘The Avengers’ I was one of the few women…it was like one big sausage party.”
Besides, the good Scarlett has flatly denied that she is considering returning to give life to the Black Widow in new productions of the saga.
“I’m done. The chapter is over. I did everything I had to do. It’s also true that coming back to play a character over and over again for a decade is a unique experience.”
And, with this, we deny a rumor and ensure that the future of the Marvel Universe will not have Scarlett Johansson in front of the cameras. Now all that remains is to see if Jonathan Majors will continue on board…
