The nearly 50 films in which he starred allowed him to amass a large fortune estimated at nearly $70,000,000. with which he acquired several properties in Mexico and abroad.
However, after his death in April 1993, the financial empire that the comedian built gradually disappeared. largely due to the mismanagement exercised by his heir, Mario Arturo Moreno Ivanova.
To make matters worse, before the sudden death of the latter, which occurred in 2017, The few properties that were part of the legacy of Cantinflas have ended in abandonment, as is the case of a residence that the so-called “Mimo de México” ordered to be built in Acapulco during the time of splendor of the spa located in the Mexican Pacific.
Today, some of the tourists who vacation in the famous port of the state of Guerrero have visited what was once one of the most glamorous properties in the country.
Several video recordings shared on social networks nostalgically show the deterioration of a property which can be accessed through its own jetty.
The property, which in the 1950s became a true mansion located in the Las Playas neighborhood, has a large area with a games pool, slides and even a huge statue representing Cantinflas.
The size of the property is so large that it has a dining room for more than 20 people and an area to store up to 15 vehicles in addition to having a billiard room. However, everything is in poor condition.
Apparently, at the time the government of the state of Guerrero took possession of the property, but the truth is that for years there has not been a nail moved there to try to rebuild it.
