Arturo Valls was the guest last night on ‘El Hormiguero’. The presenter of ‘Mask Singer’ told how he went from presenter to contestant in the Uruguayan version and He acknowledged having made a mistake in the name in some unmasking.

Arturo Valls presented season 3 of ‘Mask Singer’ in ‘El Hormiguero’. The famous contest was broadcast again on Wednesday of last week, with another round of masked celebrities whose identity must be ascertained by the group of investigators made up of Ana Obregón, Mónica Naranjo and the Javis.
Pablo Motos asked the presenter how much information he has about the identity of the contestants and Valls replied that only they tell you at the last secondsince in other seasons they did not tell him and got the name wrong more than once:
Until the last second, I don’t know and don’t want to know who they are. In fact, there are times when the mask has been removed and I have mistaken the name. It happened to me with Latoya Jackson: she took off her mask, I saw that very Jackson face and I said: “Oh, my god, Janet Jackson!”, And she: ‘I’m Latoya’.
As he explained, from then on they warn him by the earpiece a few seconds before to avoid having to repeat it all over again. He also pointed out that the season it was recorded before Ana Obregón was a grandmother and appreciated his time on the program: “It was very emotional because it was his return to television after what happened to him.”
Valls also commented on how the experience of being a contestant on ‘Mask Singer Uruguay’where he discovered to be a fairly familiar face:
I didn’t know he was known in Uruguay, but it turns out that “Ahora caigo” and “Me resbala” were broadcast in prime time on the same day. I was afraid that I would be exposed and no one would know who I am. But it was very exciting, the presenter was moved… everyone freaked out.
