Regardless of whether you love him or hate him, there’s no denying that the world would be much, much duller without him. the nonsense and outbursts of Kanye West; and in case there are still doubts about this, we only have to look at its last occurrence: to affirm that Quentin Tarantino stole the idea to create his magnificent western ‘Django Unchained’.
Kanye and Quentin: Story of a disagreement
According to good old Kanye, the filmmaker used the idea he proposed for the video clip for ‘Gold Digger’ —which, by the way, is a great song, everything is said— and turned it into his 2012 feature film; something that Tarantino has not been slow to deny. He has been on the Jimmy Kimmel show, where he has contributed his point of view on the controversy.
“There’s nothing true about Kanye West coming up with the idea for Django, telling me about it, and then being like, ‘Hey, wow, that’s a great idea. I’m going to take Kanye’s idea and do Django Unchained. with her.’ That didn’t happen. I had the idea for Django before I met Kanye.”

What Quentin Tarantino did recognize is that West had an idea for a video clip with slavery as a backdrop.
“I think it was for the ‘Gold Digger’ video clip, he was going to be a slave. It would all revolve around the narrative of slavery, he’s a slave and he’s singing ‘Gold Digger.’ very funny. It was going to be tongue-in-cheek, and like a great musical, no expense spared. I wish he had. It sounded really cool. That’s what he means.”
Furthermore, the director he remembered how he met kanye. The excuse was an ambitious project that the musician had in mind: turning his album ‘The College Dropout’ into an anthology made up of different pieces directed by top-level filmmakers.
“I wanted great directors to make different cuts of the album and release it as a big movie. Not videos, nothing as vulgar as videos, it was movies, movies based on the different themes. We used it as an excuse to meet each other and that’s how we met. We had a great time. right”.
Oh Kanye, what would we do without you.
