Despite the fact that there are many unfulfilled parents, a Spanish father is on the opposite side of the coin, since he had been giving alimony to his daughter for almost 20 years, who is currently 29 years old.
When his daughter was 24 years old, this father had already tried to get rid of the obligation of said pension, but the authorities denied his request. Finally, the Chamber of the Provincial Court of Salamanca ruled in favor of her father, dismissing the appeal filed by her daughter.
After an uncontested divorce, a Spanish man began providing alimony to the two daughters he had with his ex-wife. His father is dedicated to decorating houses, making different mouldings, but he had to allocate 14 percent of his income to pay his daughters’ pensions.
According to the laws in most countries, alimony must also include children’s clothing and medical expenses. Obviously, when the financial dependents are minors or have not completed their studies.
But, apparently, this daughter was taking advantage of her father, because, according to Antena 3, for a few years, she had her professional training degree. In addition, she was receiving government aid for 400 euros (approximately 436), something that she failed to disclose at the hearing. But in the sentence the extinction of the alimony pension was finally agreed, exposing as the main argument that the young woman is a true nini, since she neither studies nor works.
No document is provided proving that they have had a job or that they are actively seeking employment or that they are continuing their training.
The saddest thing is that the father presented evidence that his daughter has not wanted to maintain contact with him or develop a positive affective relationship, reaching the point of being very rude on different occasions.
We know that family court is rife with cases in which disobligated parents refuse to support their children, but it is just as reprehensible for a child to take advantage of his parents, as happened in this case.
