This agreement was raised since April, when prosecutors determined that Gooding would not go to jail if he pleaded guilty to harassment, in addition to continuing treatment for alcoholism and behavioral correction in rehabilitation.

In the trial against the Oscar-winning actor, the Manhattan court called 19 women to testify to verify Cuba’s behavior, although only two of those summoned were able to testify to these acts.
In 2019, a woman sued Gooding Jr. for having touched her breast in a bar, this situation triggered a series of criminal charges against the actor. Over time, the accusations against the renowned histrion began to come to light.
Gooding Jr. is now no longer facing criminal charges, however, he will now have to face two pending civil lawsuits.
