In an interview with Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner reflected that going through a bad time. The Dutch coach, who took charge of the ‘Red Devils’ last May, does not give him many playing minutes.
The Portuguese was not in the group for Sunday’s Premier League match, in which his team beat Fulham 2-1.
“I don’t respect him because he doesn’t show me any respect,” he launched in the interview with the British television journalist. “Not just the manager, but two or three other people at the club. I feel betrayed,” he added.

When asked if the Manchester United board intends to get rid of him, the Portuguese, about to head to Qatar for the World Cup, replied: “Yes, I feel betrayed and I had the feeling that some people did not want me here , not only this campaign but also the last one”.
The Portuguese international after his years at Real Madrid and Juventus, he returned to United in August 2021. But he never managed to revive the successes of his first stage under Alex Ferguson.
Ronaldo won three English championships and a Champions League in those years with the ‘Red Devils’, in addition to the first of his five Ballon d’Ors.
Last year United finished 6th in the Premier League, failing to qualify for the Champions League.
The media reported that Ronaldo tried, in vain, to leave for another club in order to play in Europe’s top competition.
“Since Sir Alex left I have not seen any evolution in the club. Nothing has changed,” said the Portuguese star.
“I want the best for this club, that’s why I came to United. But there are internal factors that don’t help us reach the top level of (Manchester) City, Liverpool or Arsenal (…) A club of this size should be at the top and unfortunately it is not like that”.
United are currently 5th in the Premier League, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.
