With a nomination for ‘Best Regional Mexican Artist’, and her presentation with the song ‘Because I’m the Queen Bee’, Chiquis is very excited about be part of the ‘Latin American Music Award’ in its debut on Univision this coming Thursday the 20th starting at 7/6 PM Centro.
At the end of one of his essays, We spoke with the daughter of Jenni Rivera, who confessed to us that every day she feels more empoweredby woman and by Latina and even He gave us some clues about his wardrobe: “I want to show another side, more feminine.”
-You arrive at the Latin American Music Awards to represent brave women…
Chiquis Rivera: That’s how it is, happy to be here, to be able to represent women, especially my gender… We are nominated, we are going to perform live, so very happy.
-Every time you go on stage, you want to give a message, not only with your song, but with your clothes, with the dance… What is the message in these awards?
Chiquis Rivera: Empowerment. I want to empower, I thought about this very well, my wardrobe, my dress on the red carpet is going to be very different from what they are going to see on stage… That’s how I am, I can be like that, very pretty and I can also be very strong, so they will be able to see that through my wardrobe, and how? Well, the color of the carpet that I chose for the dress is something, I don’t feel like it goes very well with everything I’m wearing. feeling right now.
-Every time you have to dress for a carpet or for an award, depending on how your body is changing, which at this moment is how you want it to be, how do you choose?
Chiquis Rivera: Well, I’m very daring I like to take risks in everything and in the dressing room too. I love fashion, so I feel like I’m living a very beautiful phase right now, I’m kind of blossoming in this new phase, and I want to show that through my dress on the carpet… Yes, I feel different, it feels good that I have lost weight, and I feel very good, and I want to show another side, more feminine if one can say, more elegant perhaps one can also be.
-Chiquis, right now we Latinos are very strong, the musicians became a movement, and everyone now wants to be Latino. How do you feel that you started watching this grow with your mother, knocking on doors in places that you don’t know about? allowed to sing a latino?Chiquis Rivera: I love it, I love what is happening, we have all worked to see, to feel this moment, and I love to see my colleagues who are more united than eversharing music, genres, and well, it’s something beautiful, and being able to live this moment and it takes us all, because that’s how we are, Latinos are very important, no more because she’s Latinaand very proud of it, but we are very important in this country, throughout the world.
