Brad Pitt, George Clooney Y Matt Damon will get together to shoot a new movie “Ocean’s”15 years after they shared credits in a film of the saga, various media revealed.
At first it was said that “Ocean’s Thirteen”released in 2007, would be the last installment of the series, at least according to the director Steven Soderbergh. However, in 2018, a spinoff feminine, “Ocean’s eight”which was directed by a different creative team, so Soderbergh reiterated that he would not participate in the making of another film in the saga.
But apparently, whether or not the original director is back, another “Ocean’s” sequel might be on the way after all. “Rumors of a film starring George, Brad and Matt have been circulating for years, but the timing was not right and their busy schedules made it impossible,” a confidential source revealed.
In statements to The Sunthe insider added, “The right team has finally been assembled to do “Ocean’s Fourteen”, in an attempt to make it a big hit. The main stars thought it would be really fun to do it again. The series is very popular and the brilliant plot was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
The first film’, “Ocean’s lift”, was released in 2001 and became an instant and immensely popular entry into the heist-tape genre. The sequel, “Ocean’s Twelve”, also directed by Soderbergh, was released in 2004, although the response, both commercially and critically, was more muted. A second sequel, “Ocean’s Thirteen”received a positive response in 2007 and marked the completion of Soderbergh’s star-studded trilogy.
But would Soderbergh return for a third sequel, one “Ocean’s Fourteen”? In statements to “Good Morning America” in 2021, Damon, 51, said: “It will always depend on Steven Soderbergh if there is a story”. Two of the original cast members –Bernie Mc Y Carl Reiner– have since passed away, which has long put plans for another movie on hold.
The news of a new project by the trio has come just a few days after it was announced that the premiere of Clooney’s new film, “Ticket to paradise” -starring her co-star from “Ocean’s”, Julia Roberts– was a week late. A spokesman for Universal declared to dead line: “On the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, [hemos] decided to delay the premiere of “Ticket to paradise” in the UK until after the Queen’s funeral.” The production will now premiere on September 23.
