With the apparent end of ‘Ted Lasso’ drawing near, the writers of the award-winning comedy don’t look like they’ll be out of a job anytime soon as Apple TV+ has announced that it has renewed ‘Shrinking’ for a season 2. The series also marks the debut in the television sitcom Harrison Fordwho co-stars in the series.
Released last January on the platform, the series told the story of a psychologist (Jason Segel) who, in the midst of mourning, decides to stop filtering what he says to his patients, beginning to cause great changes in their lives and in his own. Ford plays Paul, his boss.
The news comes just as the season one finale draws near, with the eighth episode (of ten) premiering today. Jason Segel is also a co-creator of the series along with Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence (‘Ted Lasso’). We could say that it is closer to other series of the latter (such as ‘Cougar Town’) than to the soccer comedy.

Which is neither good nor bad, but it seems to me that this universe lacked some charisma and charm… especially when you design a directly negligent main character. Even so, the series is quite entertaining and has a good cast, completed by Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, Michael Urie and Luke Tennie.
