The Italian coach said he is concentrating on his current position at Madrid, a team that seeks to defend its LaLiga, Spanish Super Cup and Champions League titles, and prepares to play the Club World Cup in February.
“I don’t know what the future holds for me, I live day by day,” Ancelotti said in an interview on Italy’s Rai Radio 1 programme.
“At the moment, I’m great in Madrid, we have many goals this season. I have a contract until June 30, 2024 and, if Madrid don’t kick me out before then, I’m not going to move.”
The 63-year-old coach also praised the work of the Argentine coach, Lionel Scaloni, after his team was proclaimed World Cup champion after their victory over France in the final.
“(Scaloni) did an extraordinary job and didn’t invent anything new, he put the players in their place and gave them a good defensive organization,” Ancelotti added.
Ancelotti’s Real Madrid will resume the season on December 30, with the aim of recovering the first place in LaLiga, the same one that Barcelona occupies with a two-point advantage.
