White cotton t-shirts have a privileged position in any wardrobe. Versatile, timeless and able to weather any trend -however extreme it may be-, this piece so traditional knows adapt to all possible styles. On the occasion of Women’s Day, Alexia Putellas was in charge of introducing us the coolest shirt (and essential) of the season.
Breaking myths in a stylish way
Luckily, over the years women have been dismantling the myths that surrounded us and with which we grew up. That that women do not play soccer is as false as the miraculous diets that we have been urged to try so many times. Alexia Putellas has become the idol of a new generation that dreams of equal football -despite the fact that the salary gap still leaves us in the background-. With these premises, the Catalan has become the image of the new Mango campaign and she presents us with such a cool T-shirt that it will star in the most versatile looks this spring-summer.
Girls don’t just play with dolls, they play with whatever they want (be it a ball, a racing car or a sailboat). With equality, education and hard work as fundamental values for the soccer player, today she is one of the most important female references for boys and girls around the world. “I want to generate a positive impact on society, fight for equal opportunities for the new generations and promote that there is no need to stereotype,” she says.
With these premises, and taking advantage of the fact that yesterday was international women’s day, Mango launched this solidarity shirt whose benefits will be used entirely to support Save the Children projects. As part of the initiative goalswill help promote well-being, education and sports among women workers in the garment sector and their daughters and sons in countries such as Bangladesh and Turkey.
