The entire ‘Dragon Ball’ timeline can be a bit confusingespecially if the epilogue to ‘Dragon Ball Z’, the ‘Dragon Ball Super’ series and its movies come into the equation… and also ‘Dragon Ball GT’, which seems to be definitely canon for Toei.
Here we are all with the puzzles as new content arrives, but Akira Toriyama has definitely clarified what the order of all series in the franchise would be.
reaching the end of Z
Like with ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ it seemed like we had a small time jump after the Arco de Moro from the manga of ‘Dragon Ball Super’, there are those who pointed out that it was located after even the epilogue of ‘Z’. This little arch known as ‘End of Z’ It showed us all the characters ten years after the events of ‘Dragon Ball Z’, so there would be some inconsistencies that didn’t quite add up.
At the end, Toriyama has entered the debate and has confirmed the chronological order of all ‘Dragon Ball’. So the most recent movie in the franchise definitely happens between the Majinn Buu arc and ‘End of Z’.
Toriyama also explains that ‘Super Hero’ takes place just before the final chapter of ‘Dragon Ball Z’‘, so there is not much left to explore in the series’ timeline.
With the recent time jump, in the movie we already have Goten and Trunks as teenagers and Pan is three years old. In the final chapter of ‘Z’, Pan is about four or five years old, with which it can be ventured that there is around a year of history ahead before reaching the “definitive” closure, if we do not take ‘GT’ into account.

There is no need to panic with this either, a year in manga or anime goes a long way because sometimes it seems that time does not exist. We already have a new manga arc ahead of us, so although we get closer and closer to the events of ‘End of Z’we can still wait a few more manga sagas to see how Toriyama and Toyotaro manage to string everything together until the end of ‘Dragon Ball’.
