15 years after ‘Enchanted’, the original Disney movie that parodied fairy tale stories, comes ‘Disenchanted: Giselle Returns’. The sequel come back with amy adams as protagonist and already has a trailer and release date confirmed for the end of 2022.
Is the spell broken?
‘Enchanted: the story of Giselle’ came to us in 2007 from the hand of Kevin Lima (‘Tarzan’) and told us the story of Giselle, a storybook princess (literally) who appeared in the middle of Times Square and had to learn to deal with the difficulties of the real world.
‘Disenchanted’ is its direct sequel, with Amy Adams returning to the character and Adam Shankman (‘Hairspray’) directing. In this second part, Giselle faces her new life in a residential neighborhood with Robert and her son.. As the title suggests, the princess is somewhat disenchanted with her current situation and perhaps one wish is all she needs to fix it…or make it worse.
The trailer, presented at the D23 Expo, gives us a first look at the new conflicts of the characters and promises a new twist on the classic stories of princesses, in a humorous way.
they come back too Alan Menken in music as well Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel in the cast. The star addition to the film is Maya Rudolf (‘The Good Place’) as the antagonist and the trailer also anticipates the presence of yvette nicole brown (‘Community’).
Under the slogan “Happily Never Again”, ‘Disenchanted: Giselle Returns’ is one of the next Disney+ premieres and will hit the platform on November 24.
