Legendary Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano, who is behind Final Fantasy’s aesthetic, will be responsible for a variant cover for Batman: Detective Comics in 2022.
The mythology of Batman has had the contribution of different artists from different parts of the planet, whose talent has added to the history of the Dark Knight, and now it is the turn of Yoshitaka Amano, the Japanese artist responsible for the art of the Final Fantasy video game.

Amano debuted as an illustrator in 1967 and his extensive history in animation and art includes Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D video games. This Japanese artist was part of the issue Sandman: The Dreamcatchers, written by Neil Gaiman that Vertigo published in 1999.
DC Comics will feature Yoshitaka Amano as the variant cover artist for Detective Comics #1063, an issue that will go on sale in the United States on August 23, 2022, according to information from the DC Comics portal.
