Xavier López “Chabelo” was born on February 17, 1935, he ceased to exist at 88 years of age. His departure sparked nostalgia because his program “En Familia con Chabelo” was seen by several generations.

However, his parents, José Luis López Barba and Eulalia Rodríguez were originally from León, Guanajuato and decided to move to the American union before Xavier López was born.
But when he was one year old, they returned to Mexico, where they would teach him how to work in the fields, and it was not until he turned 18 that he returned to the United States to do his military service.
Since he was recruited by the US Army to collaborate for three months at a military base located in San Diego, California, he would later be sent to the Korean War.
