The beautiful town less than two hours from Madrid perfect to visit at Easter
Under the name of Villanueva de los Infantes and located in the province of Ciudad Real, this town becomes one of the most beautiful towns in the area, forming part of the group ‘Most Beautiful Towns in Spain’. Thanks to the conservation of its architectural complex in the area of the historic center, today it falls in love with its beauty.
Majestic and superb, this villa is full of architectural treasures that envelop our gaze of the past among its legendary stones. From the Palacio de Rebuuelta to the Casa del Arco, its Plaza Mayor from the beginning of the 17th century is a must-see. Originally from the 17th century, and in a neoclassical style, the south of the square is made up of wooden balustrades supported by footings. On the other two sides it is made up of semicircular arches and on the north, the religious complex, is the architectural highlight of extreme beauty made up of the church of San Andrés (built in the 16th century, it still retains its three portals) and the Casa Rectory.
Another stop that falls in love is its Town Hall. With a beautiful façade, in it we can admire a coat of arms that was given to the people by the infant Don Enrique de Aragón, master of the Order of Santiago.
To round off this visit, this town is accompanied by many manor houses such as the Casa de Arco or the Casa de los Estudios.
