Once ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ put an end to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saving it in extremis from being a compendium of productions worthy of oblivion —with few exceptions, of course—, it’s time to welcome to a Phase 5 that will begin to put all the meat on the grill with ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’.
More wood
The kick-off to Phase 5 of the MCU and the second of the Multiverse Saga, in addition to serving as the definitive letter of introduction —the ‘Loki’ thing was just an appetizer— to the fearsome Kang the Conqueror, will bring Scott Lang back and company in what could be his definitive adventure. Of course, Evangeline Lilly is clear that the future of the Wasp should not stop here.

As she confessed to Variety during the ‘Quantumania’ premiere, the actress who gives life to Hope van Dyne wants her own solo film within the marvelita macro-project.
“Okay, I’m going to pitch. I think it might be time to do a Hope spin-off. For a Wasp solo movie. Shall we agree? Anyone? One o’clock? Two o’clock? ?”.
Does Hope have enough pull to carry a movie on her back? Is Marvel Studios’ release schedule saturated enough to add yet another project in the pipeline? Lily’s suggestion opens up more questions than she should, but anything is possible at Kevin Feige’s house.
