Discover some of the scenes that the DC Comics movies have given us, and that today it would be impossible to recreate
Cinema has changed by leaps and bounds since its appearance in 1895, and 50 years later DC Comics heroes like Batman and Superman began to star in their own stories on the big screen, with scenes that left their mark.

But in those years, as in productions like Superman in 1978, or Batman in 1989, social standards were not an impediment to shooting scenes or writing stories without hurting feelings.
In the second decade of the 21st century, filmmakers have been more careful when choosing stories and filming sequences, which are not singled out for racism, sexism or become an apology for bad practices.
We present you some scenes in DC Comics movies that in the 21st century would be impossible to do
Batman chases a Japanese villain
Before the gallery of Batman villains appeared on the scene, the Dark Knight and Robin fought common criminals on the big screen, but with very marked racial stereotypes, such as Doctor Daka, played by a Caucasian actor, J. Carrol Naish , who was made up to appear to be Asian.
Lois Lane interviews Superman
One of the important moments of the film starring Christopher Reeve is the interview that Lois Lane does to Superman, who asks him about his powers and begins to investigate his x-ray vision.
Faced with this power, Lois Lane asks Superman what color his underwear is, to which the Man of Steel replies later that it is pink, in a scene that currently would not have passed through certain filters, to avoid the sexualization of the moment.
Superman flies across the world to save Lois Lane
After saving thousands of people in San Francisco and the Hoover Dam, Superman arrives at the buried car of Lois Lane, who died of suffocation. An obviously upset Superman defies the orders of Jor-El and the elders of Krypton and turns back time to save Lois.
This scene has been controversial for many issues. Now with more access to information, fans have questioned this method that Superman used, since it would imply great deadly consequences for humanity, and that planetary stress has not been talked about.
The kiss of Superman that erases the memory
Superman II further explored the relationship between Clark and Lois, leading the Man of Steel to reveal his identity to Lois, with whom he would escape to the Fortress of Solitude for a few days to live their romance, which is interrupted by the intentions of Zod who wanted dominate the world.
After defeating Zod, Superman and Lois return to the Daily Planet, and after Lois is concerned about Superman’s secret identity, Clark kisses her, erasing her memory. In the 21st century, with female empowerment standing out, Superman would not be spared from being accused of promoting violence against women.
Catwoman’s wardrobe
In Batman Returns, Michelle Pfeiffer delivered the best version of Catwoman, wasting talent, sensuality, and mystery. In 2004, Halle Berry led the cast of Catwoman. A film that did not even reach the heels of the 1966 series (That’s how bad it was).
One of the big problems of Catwoman lies in the wardrobe of Patience Phillips, who only wears heels, a bra and leather pants. Something that in the year 2022 would be judged as the sexualization of women.
