Everyone knows by now that ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ and ‘Citadel’ are the two most expensive series of all time, it just so happens that both can be seen on Amazon Prime Video. Taking advantage of that, today I propose a list of 4 great series available on that platform that in my opinion are much better than the two mentioned.
You may also be interested take a look at other lists we have like the one with 4 great science fiction series available on streaming, the one with 4 amazing miniseries available on platforms or the one with 4 short and addictive series that you have on Netflix.

Without more to add, let’s go with today’s chosen ones:
‘They give the blow’ (‘A League of Their Own’)
Created by Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson. Distribution: Abbi Jacobson, Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Roberta Colindrez, Kelly McCormack, Priscilla Delgado, Molly Ephraim, Melanie Field, Kate Berlant
Television adaptation of the sports film starring Geena Davis and Tom Hanks in 1992, on paper it might seem like a mere approach to the difficulties of women to succeed in the world of baseball after World War II, but it is much more than that, since it presents an unforgettable gallery of characters -and an eye too to the great work of the cast headed by Abbi Jacobson-, something key to the formation of a truly reliable team. It’s a pity that she didn’t have the expected success and that she’s only going to have a shortened second season to close the story.

‘Invincible’ (‘Invincible’)
Created by Robert Kirkman. vocal cast: Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, JK Simmons
The easiest thing would have been to choose ‘The Boys’, perhaps the most popular series on all of Prime Video, but the third season began to give me certain signs of wear, so I have opted for the other great superhero series on the platform. As brutal as it is exciting and with an impeccable cast of voices, this animated adaptation of the comic by robert kirkman it is very worth it.
Criticism of ‘Invincible’
‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’)
Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino. Distribution: Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Jane Lynch, Luke Kirby, Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller, Jason Ralph
This same week came to an end after the launch of five seasons, which is probably the most reputable series on the platform, since at the time it won both the Golden Globe and the Emmy for best comedy. With some devilish dialogues trademark of the creator of ‘Gilmore Girls’, this approach to the world of stand up through the excellent character of Rachel Brosnahan shines in every way, both when her professional life is the focus and when she Focus on the personal.
‘no footprints’
Created by Carlos de Pando, Sara Antuña, Gabi Ochoa and Héctor Beltrán. Distribution: Carolina Yuste, Camila Sodi, Silvia Alonso, Borja Luna, Álex Gadea, Adrian Grösser, Adriana Torrebejano, Leonardo Ortizgris, Pastora Vega
A great Spanish miniseries that combines thriller and humor with great success. Very well written (although there may be some plot in which it is repeated more than desirable), with an enviable rhythm and an inspired work of staging, but the best thing is still the work of its cast, especially some charming and hilarious Carolina Yuste and Camila Sodi.
Criticism of ‘Without traces’
