Children always give us the best anecdotes, some funnier than others, but none like the one experienced by a family from Tamaulipas, Mexico, after a minor ordered 20 hamburgers through a apps.
The story was shared on social networks by Berenice Quintos, mother of the minor, who asked for help to cancel the large order, since the total bill was exorbitant.
Berenice explained that her daughter Allison took her cell phone to buy “a hamburger for dad to eat” and some fries. However, minutes later, the mother of the family received a notification from her bank informing her of a transaction of more than two thousand pesos, something like 100 dollars, which corresponded to the purchase of 20 hamburgers.
Desperate to get her money back, Berenice went to social networks to tell what happened and ask for help with the message: “Does anyone know if a Rappi order that is already on the way can be canceled?” Her contacts did not take long to give her options such as: “Delete the app”, “call customer service” or “contact the bank”.
Unfortunately, none of the recommendations were helpful, as the order was already on its way and all that remained was to wait for the delivery person to arrive at the address.
After receiving her succulent order and eating a hamburger, Berenice told her contacts that her daughter’s little mischief had been taken in stride and that the rest of the hamburgers were donated to relatives of patients in the regional hospital of Ciudad Madero, in Tamaulipas.
