Director George Miller (Mad Max) came close to directing a Justice League movie.
For some time there has been a debate about superhero movies. There are many people who support it, especially now that it is saving the industry, but many others think that it harms other types of productions with a different theme too much. Now, it’s been George Miller who has given his opinion.
“They endure and have resisted anyway. The only thing you will be sure of is that they will change, they will transform into something else. Marvel and the DC Universe are basically holdovers from Greek, Norse, and Roman mythology. There is a direct equivalence between each of these characters. We are going through an era where I think we are expressing these stories through moving image storytelling. They are echoes of the past, but they are adjusted so that they have meaning for us. George Miller revealed.

The director was about to direct Justice League: Deadly. In fact, I had a cast, a crew, storyboards complete, costume fittings were underway, and Australia was set as the shooting location. But things were finally called off at the last minute. Fortunately, George Miller could do Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which was an immediate success.
Now George Miller has just presented at Cannes his new film entitled Three thousand years waiting for you, about a lonely person who discovers a genie who offers him three wishes in exchange for his freedom, stars Idris Elba, Tilda Swinton, Megan Gale and Lachy Hulme. Also, she will furiousa prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road which will star Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Nathan Jones and Tom Burke.
