Seven years ago, the Disney factory announced a new project within which, to this day, continues to be one of its most lucrative businesses: the live action remakes of his animated classics. Finally, eleven similar feature films later, the reinvention of the JM Barrie story is about to reach our small screens through the Disney+ streaming platform and, to warm up the engines for its premiere, it has been presented to the gallery a first trailer that you can see on these lines and that, to tell the truth, meets what is expected of this type of production.
David Lowerywho already collaborated with Disney on ‘Peter and the Dragon’, and who has signed titles such as ‘A Ghost Story’ or the magnificent ‘The Green Knight’, has been in charge of getting behind the cameras to direct alexander molony -Peter Pan-, Ever Anderson —Wendy—, Yara Shahidi —Tinkerbell— and a Jude Law unrecognizable as a Captain Hook who looks like something out of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
By boat soon, things do not look very far, but we will be able to see if Lowery’s talent has managed to survive the company’s author chopper next April 28; date on which ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ will be incorporated into the increasingly extensive catalog of Disney +.
