Having a business is not an easy thing, since you have to consider many issues, from investment in inventory, paying employees, as well as having to deal with difficult or irresponsible customers.
Unfortunately, this is what happened to Yadira Reyes, a woman from Tamaulipas, Mexico, who is a baker and who was ordered for two thousand individual cakes, but the customer never came to pick them up. Also, she didn’t even leave a down payment.
The story went viral on networks, because given the woman’s desperation, she decided to share a post on Facebook where she explained what happened, asking the general population for help so that they could buy her some and not spoil them.
Since cakes are delicate products, Yadira decided to top off their price, selling one for 30 pesos (approximately 1.5 dollars) or two for 50 (approximately 2.5 dollars) with the aim of recovering some of the investment in supplies, since she did not even they left a down payment for them, so he put from his bag to buy the ingredients.
Fortunately, the post reached a lot of people and due to the kindness of many, the pastry lady was able to sell all her cakes, for which she was immensely grateful.
Although that does not mean that many people did not believe him and thought that it was just a strategy to sell more, since they doubted that for an order of this magnitude he had not requested at least an advance guarantee as most businesses do to commit both parts.
Faced with these comments, Yadira replied that the man who commissioned her is dedicated to preparing banquets and he was a serious person (or so it seemed), because even during the week prior to the delivery he was going to his place to refine the order details. However, when it was time to settle, the client simply disappeared and she couldn’t contact her anymore.
Given the support of the people, Yadira made some subsequent publications, thanking the good hearts of the people who expressed solidarity with her cause and sending them good wishes for having helped her at such a difficult time.
However, as the critical comments continued in those publications, Yadira clarified that she has no need to lie, since she was only the victim of a “scoundrel”. In addition, she stressed that with the sale to the public she did not make a profit, but only what was invested.
Undoubtedly, a sad story with a happy ending, which could have ended in a very bad way, but due to the union of people it could be resolved. Although we hope it will serve as a lesson to ask for advance for his future work.
