New technologies provide a series of possibilities that have increasingly made life easier for people, to the point of turning off the light or closing a door simply by giving an order to a device. One of the most used tools for this purpose is Alexa, the voice-controlled virtual assistant that makes daily tasks easier for users.
Since Amazon launched Alexa on the market in 2014, along with the Echo speakers, the virtual assistant has become a tool widely used by people to control other equipment through voice commands and thus solve much of their day-to-day life.
Although for the most part, the technology of Alexa is of great help today, there are times when it is not always as useful as expected. For example, we have the viral video of Corinna Nino, a woman who shared a recording through TikTok in which the device recommends that she hit her children to keep them quiet.
The video in question begins with the woman asking Alexa to suggest a solution to keep the kids from laughing, to which the virtual assistant replies that she could punch them in the throat. In addition, she added that if the child is writhing in pain and unable to breathe, she will be less likely to laugh. Given the response of the device, the woman could not help but laugh after the forceful and drastic solution that she offered.

Alexa hates children.
The recording in which Alexa surprises the woman with her response did not take long to become viral on the networks, where many users commented that perhaps it was a previously configured response and that everything was planned. While a few others took it in stride and thought it was funny, they chose to ask their own devices the same thing and the answers they received were quite clever.
For its part, Amazon assured that last September, this type of response was removed from all Alexa devices and that before responding, the virtual assistant goes through a multi-layer moderation process, a procedure that includes automation and trained moderators.
