In your house or mine tells the story of Debbie (Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (Ashton Kutcher) who have shared a great friendship for 20 years, despite being very different. A no-risk, pragmatic accountant, Debbie enjoys the routine and stability she lives with her son Jack (Wesley Kimmel) in Los Angeles; Peter is a brand consultant, has great style and loves the unpredictability of his life on the other side of the United States, in New York. But all this changes when they trade home and lifestyle for just one week, they discover that they haven’t really told each other the whole truth and that what they think they want isn’t exactly what they need.
This production is written, directed and produced by Aline Brosh McKenna (Evil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses), the film also features performances by Jesse Williams, Zoë Chao, Steve Zahn, Tig Notaro, Griffin Matthews, Rachel Bloom, Shiri Appleby and Vella Lovell.
Ashton Kutcher’s health
The actor spoke about his state of health in August 2022 and explained the vasculitis he faced and forced him into temporary retirement. “About three years ago, I had this weird, super-rare form of vasculitis, which took away my vision, took away my hearing, took away my balance,” Kutcher told host Bear Grylls, the show’s host.
It took him about a year to rebuild each of his senses again, he explained.
The actor admits to feeling lucky to be alive, and despite the experience, Ashton doesn’t let that, or any of life’s challenges, bring him down.
Vasculitis is a rare autoimmune disorder with many variations that can lead to inflammation of the blood vesselswhich limits blood flow and causes damage to organs and some tissues.
