Yalitza Aparicio returned to his native state of Oaxaca, but this time it was not to show off his cultural or gastronomic wealth but to become her first tattoo, which she proudly showed off and revealed why she decided to get it even though her mom didn’t agree.
After announcing her participation in several projects that mark her return to acting, including the horror film ‘Presencias’, the series ‘Los Espookys’ on HBO Max, as well as ‘Mujeres Asesinas’ on ViX+, the nominee for Oscar as Best Actress decided to make a space in his activities to travel to San José del Pacífico, a town located in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca to start a new adventure, and he decided that it was the ideal time to get his first tattoo.
This is how the model narrated it during the most recent chapter of her YouTube channel in which she shared the exact moment that she was tattooed for the first time, in addition to revealing why she decided to do it.
“There is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but for work reasons I have not given myself the opportunity and I ran away so I could get a tattoo“, he expressed.
But Yalitza was not alone, since on this occasion she was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Margarita Martínez Merino, who revealed that she did not agree, so she even put several conditions on her to be able to get a tattoo.
“He told us: when they graduate, have a job, are independent, have their car and their house (they can do it). I said: ‘Welcome, I’m leaving,’” said the native of Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca.
Before revealing which figure she had chosen, Yalitza brought out her sense of humor by revealing the reason why she could not tattoo the face of an ex.
“The ex’s face… They don’t fit!” he said between laughs.
They immediately explained a little about the machines used to make a tattoo and the actress shared that she decided to capture a hummingbird on her skin because she identifies with this type of bird.
“It is an animal that I feel is free, it cannot be locked up. Freedom, yes I am! I want a hummingbird!”Yalitza Aparicio
In the clip you can see some tests they did to see how the design would look behind the shoulder, but finally they decided to go on the inside of the arm, for which it took about two hours.
After seeing the final result, the 28-year-old model also expressed that she was very happy to have achieved something that she had wanted to do for a long time, with which she was satisfied.
