The Blue Beetle movie is still going ahead, and Xolo Marudueña, its protagonist, is reportedly ready for people to see his interpretation of Jaime Reyes
Despite the fact that the new board of Warner Bros. Discovery has cut projects like Batgirl, others like Blue Beetle are still standing, and its protagonist Xolo Marudueña was able to give a preview of what will be seen in the film directed by Angel Manuel Soto.

Blue Beetle will follow the story of Jaime Reyes, played by Xolo Marudueña, who in the comics is the third bearer of the Blue Beetle. Marudueña pointed out that viewers will be amazed at the appearance and abilities that his suit will have.
In an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, Marudueña spoke of the emotion that his character imprints on him and he already hopes that fans can see him in action.
“Every time I put on the suit I feel so dizzy. The thing is sick, it’s awesome and being in it is even cooler. I’m so excited for everyone to see what the suit can do in the movie.”.
From the Dojo to the DC Universe
Marudueña rose to fame thanks to her role in the Cobra Kai series, and mentioned that now as part of DC Comics’ film history, she will take the excitement to another level.
“I am in the hands of people who are the best at what they do. The opportunity in Cobra Kai has really blessed me; I can do stunts, we can do crazy things. Adding this new level of green screen and costumes and CGI and all of this will add a whole new crazy level that I’m so excited about.”
Blue Beetle will be the third DC Comics movie confirmed to be released in 2023. The first is Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, scheduled for March 17, and The Flash, which will arrive on June 23.
