Tom Welling recalled in a special Smallville panel Christopher Reeve&#8217;s participation in the series that aired between 2001 and 2011<\/b><\/i><\/h2>\n<p>On October 10, 2004, the world mourned the loss of Christopher Reeve, the actor who, thanks to the Superman saga, made us believe that a man can fly, and this was remembered by Tom Welling, who between 2001 and 2011 starred in the series Smallville.<\/p>\n<p><i><b>Do not miss: What is &#8216;The curse of Superman&#8217; and how Henry Cavill ended it?<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Recall that in episode 17 of the second season Christopher Reeve appeared as a special guest, playing Dr. Virgil Swann, a scientist who gave Clark clues to his home planet, Krypton.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Smallville 2x17 - &quot;This is Kal-El of Krypton, our infant son, our last hope&quot;\" width=\"788\" height=\"443\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OMryDSo4AxY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the framework of the New York Comic-Con 2022, in the panel dedicated to the cast of Smallville, Tom Welling recalled what it was like to work with Christopher Reeve on the set of the series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>He was only supposed to be there for three hours, but I think he stayed like six-thirty.  He said, &#8216;I don&#8217;t want to leave&#8217;\u2026 The idea was that he would shoot all of his coverage, then he would go away and I would shoot all my stuff with someone else.  But he wanted to stay with me!<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Welling recalled the kindness of the Superman protagonist on location, and that he was attentive to all the details in the filming, despite the fact that his private nurse seemed quite worried.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>It got to the point where her nurse told her, &#8216;I&#8217;m going to call the police.&#8217;  He was like, &#8216;for who?&#8217;  She was like, &#8216;For you!  You&#8217;re done, you can&#8217;t be here anymore!&#8217;  He just wanted to be there.
