It’s almost the weekend and although it seems that nothing moves in August, the movie listings continue to expand with new developments. East Friday July 12 new releases are coming loaded with summer comedies for all tastes where we have also been sneaking an intense survival thriller and the Indian remake of ‘Forrest Gump’.

The premieres of August 12, 2022

‘I’m going to have a good time’ (2022)

  • A musical full of nostalgia for the 80s to the rhythm of Hombres G, perfect for teenagers.

  • What’s new from David Serrano as director after ‘We have to talk’ and ‘Vota Juan. Serrano also signs the script together with Luz Cipriota.

  • Starring Raúl Arévalo and Karla Souza, who has gone to Spanish cinema for this musical. Izan Fernández and Renata Hermida Richards play their younger versions.

  • They have defined it as “the Spanish ‘La La Land'”.

  • The film tells the story of David and Layla in 2022 and also their memories of their teenage days in 1989 showing us their relationship with jumps between the present and the past.

    ‘The beast’ (‘Beast’, 2022)

    • Idris Elba gets into the skin of a widowed man who travels to South Africa with his two daughters. What was going to be a family trip to remember his life with his wife becomes a survival thriller to escape a bloodthirsty lion.

    • Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who this year has also produced ‘Lost in the Arctic’, another survival story with man against nature.

    • It lasts 93 minutes, just enough time for an action and horror story to keep us glued to the screen without making it last forever.

‘With gray hair and crazy’ (‘Mack & Rita’, 2022)

      • A film about a young woman who would love to be able to have the plans and hobbies of an older lady without anyone making fun of her and, above all, to be able to rest. After a strange event, she wakes up as a 65-year-old woman.

      • Diane Keaton is going to eat the whole movie as she has been doing with all the comedies she stars in lately, and we know it.

      • ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ vibes, but with a protagonist who enjoys her new situation and discovers that old age is not what she imagined.

        Plus…

        ‘By the hair’ (2022)

        ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (2022)
