The work of teachers goes beyond the classroom. Proof of this is the story of a teacher who gave some shoes to one of her low-income students, who thanked her for the gift and told her that she preferred to give them to her mother, because she needed them more.<\/p>\n

The events occurred at the Tierra de Huarpes School in Mendoza, Argentina, and were reported by local media.<\/p>\n

The teacher of the minor in question told local media that she always cares about her students and wants them to have the right shoes to attend classes:<\/p>\n

I’m always looking down because I can’t see my students coming to school with broken shoes where you can see their toes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In one of these sightings, he noticed that his student, named Ciro, needed a new pair of tennis shoes. She did not hesitate to give them away. However, the answer that the younger of hers gave him of her melted his heart.<\/p>\n

I handed Ciro a pair of sneakers and he accepted them. However, to my surprise, the next day he arrived with his old sneakers. I asked him what had happened and he told me that he preferred to leave them with his mother because she usually does temporary work walking and that is why she needs them more than he does.<\/p>\n

Ciro had such a noble gesture that it deserves to be told because, ultimately, I am the teacher, but he is the one who teaches me. He is a very special boy. He is ‘my Cyrus’.<\/p>\n

At home he receives affection, but poverty crosses him like so many other boys. I could assure you that this is the case for the majority in this school. We always work looking for help of all kinds. Here many broken childhoods are observed and parents are also victims, because they have suffered or are suffering painful situations that, obviously, are transmitted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
